Baling wire, hee, hee! One of my favorite fasteners growing up. I really hated it when they started using "binder twine"...you?!! Of course, the binder twine was much easier on your bare hands handling the bales than the wire, unless you were using gloves, or a hay hook!I’ve been using baling wire to fix mufflers since I was 12. I am a reformed redneck! 25 years on the farm! I do have my limits!
You mean gorilla snot? That stuff is forever.OK, try 3M automotive weather strip adhesive.
You aren't use to rednecks yet, are you![]()

Think Steam Punk....Run 2 screws in each side of the stock almost flush, then put bailing wire around the butt plate twisting it onto the screws tightly holding the butt plate on there. Stainless screws look better over time as does stainless wire. I like to use an X pattern on the wire but i dont think its necessary to get that fancy in all cases.
If you talk about sprockets we have to add chainThink Steam Punk....
You could drill a hole in 1 side and out the other for 1/2" copper tubing, sweat some elbows and T's on after installing a couple sprockets and gears, tubing can be run length of forend after screwing more sprockets and gears.
Almost forgot about butt plate, made out of brass of course with some tubing coming out of it also.
