what did I make?

I took some 22-250AI(40') brass and expanded it to 6mm--is this some sort of XC? or?
just curious, looks cool.

6-250 Ackley. All of these mid-capacity 6s are about the same. Most perceived advantages of one over the other are in the noise.
.

There are some who have been using the two fitty brass to get to an XC. It works but OAL suffers maybe .020" from what I've read.
My Bud has been taking Palma brass down to XC specs but lvg the necks long at abt .400. He has nearly 900 rds through the 8 tw XCaliber bbl, using CCI 450, RL 17, Sierra 107s. A semi retired BR shooter, he stated he'd never had so many groups in the zeroes.
With .0002" throat wear now, he's in the ones. His node is mid 3200 with the Sierras. Just a fwiw.

I have a 6mm-250 AI. Agreed that it’s maybe a little saltier than the 6XC (or 6x47 or 6 Creedmoor) but who cares.

900 rounds at 3200fps from an XC using RL17 only wears the throat 2 ten-thousandths? How does one measure that? Even if it were 2 thou of wear in those conditions it would be a magical setup.
