What compact spotting scope is the best?

I have an older Swarovski Habitat 20-60x80 spotting scope in mint condition and I love the clarity and sharpness of the spotting scope. The scope is 20 inches long. I am thinking of selling it and buying a more compact scope but don't know what scope would come close to the optical excellence of my Swarovski scope. I don't want to spend 3 or 4 thousand to buy a new Swarovski that might be as long. Any idea what compact scope might come close to the optical clarity of the Swarovski in a compact package? Is their any compact scope for around $1,000.00 that will come close to the Swarovski? Thanks!

My favorite is the old Unertl 20X54 with the 45 deg eye piece and the green body. It is almost as good as my Kowa and a lot smaller and lighter. My friend sold his recently for $500 and I almost cried.
