What cheap material to fill a shooting bag with ?

What cheap LIGHT WEIGHT material to fill rear shooting bench bag with ? Thought about these plastic airsoft BB’s but they are kind of expensive. Lead and sand getting to hard to
Pick up for me after 2 torn rotator cuff surgeries. Thanks. Marty

Quit shooting. If you can't pick up a bag you can't pick up a rifle. I had a similar situation when I had to quit playing racquetball 2 years ago when I turned 70.

Lapidary beads, a plastic or polymer polishing media. Used them, they work quite well if you want a lighter weight, carrying bag. Won’t have the issues that your beans might. I forget where I got them. Bought a bulk amount and shared them. Maybe FleaBay?

Unsented cat litter non clumping
What he said, I bought a canvas bucks bag and they told me to use a specific kitty litter they use. Well I filled the bag and as I finished It hit me! I have real bad allergies and am ultra sensitive to perfume and such. I had an instant headache and my eyes and skin were burning. I emptied it and hit it with the air compressor and could not get rid of the smell. I called Bucks bags to order another and the gentleman remembered me and asked if everything was alright because I was ordering another one so soon. I told him what happened and he apologized and said that he notice the brand changed things up recently and they had to change brands also because of the scent. He had me return the bag to them and he shipped me a new bag. Great customer service.

I understand light weight. I don't understand CHEAP!! The money we all have tied up in loading equipment, ammo, guns, rests, time and effort............ I don't get it.

Unless you need a rear bag for a Red Rider.

Find the BEST.....it costs what it costs!

Just my .02,
Tod

Crushed walnut shell from the pet store..

you can go by any place that does powder coating and get a 5 gallon bucket of the used sand they use for sandblasting. it is usually white, dry and clean except there will be very small shards of metal mixed in with the sand. it is nearly as heavy as heavy sand and it is free. the powder coating outfits use it up by the dump truck loads and have to pay to haul it off and pay to dump it.

www.boxtobenchprecision.com They have the lightest fill available anywhere. Don't fill bags past 85-90% or it'll get springy. Shipping is free last I knew and that's usually what kills you on the price for volume filler so it's otherwise pretty darned cheap especially as the amount you buy goes up.
