what cartridge

I have a small ring mauser that i plan to build a rifle on and would like to know what a good cartridge would be ? I dont care the caliber because i havent decided if i want a coyote gun or a deer rifle or maybe a round that could do both. It has a 308 bolt face so i would need a round that would work with that bolt. I have heard that you should stay in the 45-47,000 CUP range with these actions but i dont know if thats true. So if this was your action what would you build out of it.

Perhaps a .250-3000, or even .35 Rem....dependant on distances you typically shoot.

6.5 Creedmore, but a 6.5X55 Sweden, 260 Rem would also fit the bolt face. I have push feed Win Mdl 70 with a bad .243 Win barrel. I have ben looking at the reloding data for the 6.5 (.264 Dia) rounds. dont know if your small ring action will handle a 6.5-284 round.

Should not use .308 Win. based calibers in that rifle. Options expressed above are good choices!
