What can I build from my 223 bolt gun

Bruno is having a sale on Kreiger blanks, saves about $70.00. I would go with 222 Rem or 223.

Stay with the 223 but get yourself a Bartlein barrel with a 7.7 twist and have your smith free bore it to shoot 70-80 gn bullets, ringing steel out to 1000 yds

Good luck for finding 6X50 brass.

I just started shooting a 6X45 a few months ago. That's what the .223 should have been.

Along that same vein of though, the 6X47 (.222 Magnum necked up) or a .204X6MM (204 Ruger necked up to 6MM), either would put you close to the .22 Valkyrie case capacity while sticking with the .223 bolt head diameter.

.22Valkyrie/6MM but that requires the bolt to be opened up and who knows about brass availability in the future if the Federal/Hornady/Starline decides it's not a $$$ viable cartridge.
