What bushing size to start with using lapua brass in 22br

Looking for a starting point for what bushing size to use with Lapua brass in 22Br. Thinking about using the redding form/ trim die to start then using the redding fl bushing die to finish off. Appreciate any suggestions.

Well let me reword this. When you are reloading your already fire and formed 22BR Lapua brass what size bushing are you using to get a .001 to .002 pinch fit on your fires case.

Measure a loaded round and subtract .001-.002

I'm having a rifle rebarreled for 22br and I don't have any loaded rounds just the brass and some bullets and no dies yet. So I was trying to get some information as to what size bushings people were using.

What is your neck diameter????

The chamber neck diameter??

Chamber neck is .251 or .252.

What is the formed brass measuring at???

As a guide. My chamber neck is 0.252", a fired case is 0.2505", Berger VLD loaded neck size is 0.2496", neck wall is 0.013" and I use Wilson Tapered Bushings. My starting point was a 0.248 Bush but I also have 0.247".

If you use a bullet with or without a pressure ring will affect your loaded round neck size and clearance.

BTW...if you invert the Wilson Bushing it gives a touch more neck tension rather than going down a whole 0.001" bush size. (Tapered Bush)
