What bullets for 1-11 6BR or Dasher

May be getting a Pac-Nor 1-11 6mm 3 grove. What will work over the 75-85 gr. range?

Dont know about the dasher but my 12 twist 243 will shoot them just fine. I would think you will be good to go.

What is your intended purpose for this rifle? The 11 twist will shoot any of the 80gr. bullets well. From what I've read, the 80gr. Fowler is a great paper puncher as well as explosive on coyote sized vermin! The 87gr. V-Max won't stabilize in that slow of a twist barrel so you will be limited with on the weight of bullets you can use. Berger's quick reference chart states you need a 10 twist to stabilize their 88gr. match varmint bullet! Hope this helped.

Good move. But I would go with at least a 9 myself. Then you could play with the 95 SMK's and 95 vld's. Possilby even 105-107's. I have never seen a little too much twist hurt anything. My 12 twist 6br shoots good with the 75gr Vmaxs, but shoots the 65gr Vmax better. I had a 6br sporter with a 8 twist kreiger that shot 105's, 95's, and 87 grainers equally well. I actually stuck with with the 87gr Vmax just for the extra velocity.

I stopped building slower twist rifles for myself because I always like trying different bullets and weights, if your restricted because of too slow of twist it's a NO CAN DO.

I have at least 6 BR's and Dashers & 3 6x47L. This is something else to play with. I have several 1-8's and they do shoot the light ones well. I have had better luck with the 65 VMax than the 75's in more than a couple of 6mm's. Wish the 87's would work better, maybe in this one, they will. Don't see a lot of speed in 8 verses slower twist. The 10 may not blow up the 55's & 58's like the 8 will do sometimes.

My 1:10 twist 28" Krieger loves the 95 BIBs. It also shoots the 95 VLDs well. Walt told me that about 50% of the 1:10 6BRs will shoot the 95 VLDs and 50% won't. You just have to try in your gun.
