What are your opinions on the new Northland, Bat Machine partnership actions?

Looks like Northland Shooters Supply added a line of Bat actions which fit Remington 700 barrels and stocks with integral rails and recoil lugs and interchangeable bolt faces to change between magnum, 308 and 223 bf without having to spend 500 on a bolt.
Seems like there is a lot of competition in this space but what do you all think about these compared to other Remington clones?

Seems like a solid option. Price isn't too bad either. I would definitely pay the extra $25 for DLC.

Makes me wonder why they didn't go with a savage thread spec instead of Remington, but what do I know.

I asked about the fit and clearance on these and James said they should be between a benchrest action and an HR/TR. Reliable enough for field work but still held to tight tolerances.

I can see many benefits over a savage action. Not trying to be an action snob, nothing wrong with savage for the money. The biggest advantage I see with these is Remington style triggers. Also integral lug.

I noticed they are finally going with 416 stainless instead of 17-4 that they normally use. Hopefully they got with Jim Borden to get the heat treat correct this time. Maybe this will put an end to the bolt lug and receiver galling issues they have been plagued with for years!! Please give me a minute. Ok, flame suit on, let me have it Bat fans!!

Never been a fan of the 2 piece bolt, I like a long arm behind the bolt keeping it aligned without any flex in the middle--maybe that is just my Engineer OCD and isn't really necessary. lugs should do it...but there's a lot going on there when the explosion takes place.

I like the Bat actions they make and if you order from them (and wait a while) I'm not sure there is much difference in the prices. The BAT VR lists at $1175. Meloniting is $125, Looks like a charge for integral rail too but not shown on the site.

Those look promising! I hung out with the Defiance guys this summer and they were talking about these, glad to see another low-price custom option.

What are they called? The Tenacity doesn't appear to have the ability to change the bolt face. Is there a nee one not listed on either site?
