What are these serialized and weighed Aluminum Rings?

I got 140 of these aluminum rings.
Large Diameter: 2.47" O.D.,
2.0" I.D.
Small Diameter: 2.13" O.D.
1.9" I.D.
There is a step cut into them and they nest together.
The small ones will nest in the large ones.

Each ring is serialized (stamped) and weighted (in ink). I don't know if the weight was part of the original purpose or added by some OCD individual with a lot of time on his hands (NOT ME, I promise).

If you have a tuner for a RF rifle, see if they will fit as some people use weight rings to fine tune, aka Harrel rings.

I haven't checked the weights but the construction doesn't warrant that number of digits.

Example of manpower vs automatic machines.
Line left on over long weekend these were all over the floor when the place opened.
Union worker would have stopped the line.
???
Wife mentioned a wind chime.

Checked a couple and the label is pretty darn close.
With a range of thicknesses and weight maybe tooling?
Aluminum wouldn't work as a bearing surface so it's likely for balance if it goes into a product.
Maybe a gyroscope in an aircraft nav platform.
Or a stabilized weapon?

Thickness would be like rear end shims (thickness only matters).
Weight implies a balance function.
Aluminum implies a weight conscious application.
Machine order probably used thickness as a precursor, then weighed.
Maybe a device similar to this:
One size for outer axis one for inner axis?
Did a quick density check and for 136 grams of rings I get a displacement between 50 and 51 cc's.
2.67 to 2.72 g/cc. It's Aluminium.
