What are the best powders for 40g V Max in 204 R, of the ones I have listed.

I am trying to get some great load data, without doing a bunch of reloading, an wasting components. I have 500 40g v max, which both of my .204s love, tiny little groups and about half an inch with 32 gr. The 40 gr shoots better in both my guns, and kills much better on chucks, coyotes, and crows. Here is the powder I have on hand, most in #8 jugs.
IMR 3031
Rel 10
BlC-2
Varget
H335
H4895, which i have but dont think it will work
So far on my limited load development, I went with the powder in the manual that gave the highest speed with less powder. I am liking Rel 10, and H335, all I have tried. I was told by a pretty knowledgeable reloader that 24.5 grs of Rel 10 was what Hornady used in the 40 gr factory load, and groups/POI mirror the factory 40 gr load. All help apppreciated, just trying not to was primers and other componenents.

Out of the powders you listed and from those I have tried, BLC-2 works the best for me. Great speed and accuracy with 40gr class bullets.

Reloader 10X does very well most of the time and has been a favorite of many load manuals for about as long as the 204R has been around. So for sure it is worth a look.

It does very well with those original Sendero profile Remington factory rigs as well as with custom barrels that replaced those originals. It even does very well in many WOA varmint profile AR rigs.

My only issue with it, is that it is an extruded powder which means for the best performance it needs to be trickled. Nowadays with the AutoTrickler and SuperTrickler, I can bulk load without fatigue ( I do these 2000 at a time for PD trips.) Extruded powder just seems to have the magic compared to spherical which can be thrown with greater precision. The ones like CFE223 or H335 can be thrown very quickly.

10X, make sure to use a thick cup primer on those upper end loads.
First thing in the morning my loads looked a bit on the warm side, as the day went on complete primer blowing. Toss them in the cooler for a bit and they were fine.
All loads well with in published load data.
I went to 450’s and the problem went away.

For shooting 40's (or the 39gr SBK), all four* of my 204's prefer 10X with H4895 running a very close second in terms of both speed and accuracy. You can't go wrong with either.

(* I'm down to three 204's now, sold my Sako 75V.)

25 grains of R10 with the 39 blitzking was in the teens at 100 yards with 2 custom barrels in 204R. Your 40's should be about the same. The barrels both lasted over 6000 rounds.

I use H4895 with a 35gr berger. 3,880 fps and no sighs of pressure. 22in barrel. Shoots very well. I have not tried any 40gr bullets though.

Thanks for your replies guys, i really appreciate it. Looking thru my powder, I have 2-1# of Rel 10, 9# if H4895, 12# of Varget, and #9 blc2, #8 of H335.

H4895 shoots the best in my 204 with 39 gr. Sierra's and 40 gr. Berger's. Reloder 15 is very good too.

I had been loading RL-15, 39gr Sierra and 40gr Vmax, which shot very well, but it bridged to often in the progressive loader!! Switched to H335 load, shoots a bit better than the other! Oval is AR mag length for both the bolt gun and the AR!!
