What all calibers use Hodgdon CFEBLK ?

Initially I bought it for 300BO, but it underperformed for both supers and subs compared to H110 and N110,

A few years ago I put together a 300HAMR. CFEBLK is the preferred powder for the 300HAMR.

In what way did CFEBLK underperform for you with 300blk subs?? Just curious.

Its stupid accurate and all you can hear is my bolt cycling in my 10.5" sbr...

For me I was looking for a powder that would pull double duty in multiple platforms.
(1) Supers and Subs
(2) 8” - 18” barrels
(3) Bolt Rifles and AR15.

During my load tests, CFEBLK was slower than H110 or N110 for Supers, and N110 was most accurate and cleanest burning for Subsonics.

My experience hunting pigs showed that using a suppressor was most important decision, and not what velocity of ammo. Regardless of supersonic ammo or subsonic ammo, game scatters after 1st shot. However, if rifle fired with suppressor (eliminates the Big Bang) then animals will return to area which allows you to continue hunting. I was surprised to see how little the game animals were spooked by supersonic crack. As a result I tend to prioritize supersonic ammunition in 300BO.

Why did I buy H110 instead of N110… Timing. When I was stocking up on for 300BO, 8# jug of H110 was $225 and VV N110 was $325. In the current market pricing, N110 is now reasonably priced and would get the green light.
