What Action for a Very Short Cartridge?

ggshoots

Gold $$ Contributor
I am trying to figure out what action can reliably feed a cartridge I designed. It is 1.75" over all so in several short actions I have tried it wants to dive and not feed properly. I am thinking it will have to be a mini action and possibly controlled feed.

I spun up a barrel for a 722 action and feeding was hit and miss so just dropped a SS sled in and works great but once again am looking for a action that will work for it as a repeater. I also did a barrel for a Ruger predator but that one is an absolute no go as a repeater. The cartridge shoots awesome and cheap but a repeater is my goal.

I'm thinking either a CZ527, or possibly a Sako L461 action but would really be open to any suggestions. I shoot this 40gr Vmax at 2 nodes. One about 2450 for squirrels and the other at 3050fps for Varmints and fun. Cases have 10reloads on them and no trimming needed yet. I use H4198 for the slow round and 13gr of VV N110 for the faster load. I've had it at 3200 with no pressure issues but it shoots awesome at 3050 so stayed with that.

If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

Best bet I think might be a Howa Mini in 223/222. I’ve used quite a few of them and they feed well with whatever I’ve barreled them in to include a bunch of Grendel variants.
