What a difference 6 years makes

This company had one 8 lb container on Gunbroker and I won it. Nobody bid on it except me. I called him up and asked him if he had anymore. He told me that he was going to take a walk in the warehouse to see what he had left and he told me to hang on he'll be back in about 15 minutes. Well 15 minutes later he told me that he had 11 more with the same lot number and I told him I'd take it all. Back when I was getting ready to shoot for the first time in competition in 2013 H4198 was selling for $127.95 so this was a steal. The new owner of P&H didn't want to sell powder and primers the old owner told me. I bought cases of 205's for 100 bucks. Cases of BR4's & 450's for 154. I bought the last 4 eight pounders of N135 for 150 a jug delivered. That place was a competition shooter's gold mine. These prices are just a memory.IMG_4945.JPG

I found 1k of those same primers a couples weeks ago back in a corner, a friend gave them to me Probably 10 years ago. last week Iloaded some in 223 they out shoot all other primer then I found out they no longer sale them in the USA

Yes, they are fantastic primer. I believe Obama was behind them not being imported anymore.

And a gallon of gasoline at that time was________
Gas prices have always been volatile; I lived through the oil embargo of 1974, and fuel was always cheaper on Post at Ft. Knox (subsidized like our Commisary (?), My Father had to fill both of our vehicles on a specific calendar day of each week, and I recall he rode his Harley well into the early Winter that year. The following image is time stamped, and not that long ago; we were exporting refined Gasoline then as well. Only a modest increase over when I bought my Ford Focus 5- speed (new) in 2002.BF4E1443-5E1D-40A9-9416-F383C7E0E1C6.jpeg6A18D9A4-D4DF-4161-8D0F-5FB9FB985E53.jpeg
