That's my problem, Heck I ended up ordering 2 of the guns by accident. So now I guess I got a back up.What a nice rifle...... I want one - of everything.

You have to remove some wood in the mag well, no big deal. Took 10 minutes tops with a dremel. Other than that it fits like a glove.
@bcarico ,.. My kinda Rifle ! Very, Nice ! Have you done any, Glass "Bedding" of, action/ free floating bbl or, Barrel, Lap / Polish, "work", yet?
I have a .243 Win Tikka, T-3, SS, that shoots in the .2's and 3's ( 5 shots) at, 100 yd's with, 87 grain HVLD, Berger's @ 3,150 FPS that, I have, polished/ lapped, the Factory barrel with, JB's using, a Bronze Brush with, a Patch oo top, "slathered" with, JB's, for 10 -12 strokes thru bbl and removing, Brush, NOT pulling it, backwards! My new Green Mtn. Sporter, .22 LR Barrel, on my Ruger 10-22, is grouping in the .3's to .5's at, 50 yds using, same method of, bbl polish / Break-in with, SK+ and Wolf ME ammo ( be sure to Clean well, W/ 91% Alcohol and dry but, use NO oil, YET ). UN-Lapped Factory barrels have, Burrs/ sharp edges at the Throat/ Land, junction, A smoother Barrel, WON'T hold onto, Lead, Copper and Fouling deposits, as much !
After lap /polish/ clean, shoot 30 rds, Then, do a good cleaning ( NO more JB's, tho ) every 30 rounds, thereafter, X 3 ! This, Break-in method, will make you, a NICE shooting and smooth, EASY to clean, Barrel,.. usually ! Good luck, with your New Rifle !

Nice, where did you order them from? I'm wanting another. 22, considering the T1X.
I just purchased a Bergara B14 rifle chambered for .22LR. It has the synthetic Ridgeback stock, 18 inch barrel and is built on a clone of the Remington 700 short action. The action takes 700 scope bases and triggers. LOP is adjustable and it has an adjustable cheek riser. The chamber is to SAAMI match specs. There are several reviews to be found on line.

Something I didn't mention in the review is that I separated 1,000 CMP Eley cartridges by weight a few months ago. The ones I used in my new Bergara to shoot the five 10-shot groups at 50 yards that averaged .777" were the culls... either too light or too heavy to be included with those I separated into specific weights. It was my initial outing with the rifle and I used only relatively inexpensive cartridges. The wind, also not mentioned, was mostly gentle but reached 5 or 6 mph at times. My next outing will be with a better trigger and better cartridges.

I ordered from a couple local dealers.
I think since all the .22 LR 40-X’s were built many decades ago, how each shoots now would depend on care and use over all those years. (I don’t think .22’s are likely to shoot out, but they could easily become pitted.) Winchester had already found success with the 52 when Remington introduced the 40-X. Remington publicly set out to beat the 52 (to beat all comers) and had the advantage of an existing known quantity to try to top.
I have one that either is, or closely resembles an international free rifle. Mine also sat dormant for years after a random store visit, as I didn’t really discover .22 bullseye matches before 2019, but it has done well for me especially in smallbore Fclass.
I have to give the 40-X due credit because I have won or finished higher with it relative to high power F-Class matches of similar size, that I have been shooting for many years.
But it would be a real dice roll to go seek out a 50 year old gun today, trying to beat on price or accuracy a new barreled action or complete rifle from a maker like Vudoo. Remington threw everything at the “best .22” title and they all shipped at that level, 50 plus years back, but surely not all of them are as good today as when new.

That is a really nice looking piece of kit. 1,700 with the T1X as a base. Looks like the chassis is about 1,200.00?
