Ditch the dawn, lemishine, pins, and chips. Get some Brass Juice and be happy.

This ^^^^^^^^^. Ive used the same batch of Brass Juice as many as a dozen times with excellent results. Poured into a gallon milk jug and all of the grit and grime filters to the bottom. Pour all but the last 1/2" into tumbler and a tablespoon of new Brass Juice and your good to go. Over ten years and I'm only 1/2 way through a gallon jug of Brass Juice.
