Western Colorado May '23 Freedom BR Match results

It's Mother's Day and I (like most of you) have things to tend to, so I will keep this short and edit to add pics and such as time allows.

FYI-The crew really liked the format of this match.

We started the day with the Heavy Gun contest. Jerry Carter @memphistransplant showed STRONG!!!!

Bright sunny morning and a great day for a match.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Western Slope, that mountain peak you can see at the end of the firing line is Mount Garfield named after our late President. Mt Garfield is in the Bookcliffs Range. Just to the right of the Panda Bear umbrella is Mt Lincoln, again named after Abe. Below Mt Lincoln is the Cameo Shooting Complex where several large PRS matches and large hand gun matches are hosted each year.

A little later in the day,
When the flags look like this, groups open up at Western Colorado. A steady breeze is favorable for small groups at this location. When it is calm, there are 10,000 gremlins hiding behind those berms waiting for the opportunity to mess with your shots (and your head if you are not careful).

This doesn't happen very often at this range. This picture is David Scherman receiving his Screamer Patch for a very well centered 0.958" group with a score of 50-4X. This is David's second screamer group and both have been in 2023 shooting Tommy Jacobs @Tom E Vapor Trail Bullets.
Keep up the good work TomE, you may have to move operations to Colorado to keep up with the volume of local guys shooting your bullets!

I will get a picture of the well centered group posted a little later in the day.

The crew really liked the Freedom format.
We had a short meeting after the awards and pictures, the preference is to move over to Freedom.
If we get the target nailed down from Adam for the shotmarker system, we will run the July Freedom match on electronics. Still pulling paper but using the electronics so the shooter can see sighters and record shots on the display real time. It will be fun to see how it all evolves.
