Pull my finger
Gettin old is a Bi*&*&*> Seems these days I drop more stuff than I pick up.. Which takes us to this afternoon and reloading some test rounds for the triple duece. Got finished and noticed I was using Sierra data instead of Hornaday. Sierra listed the powder I was playing with [W748] and Hornaday doesn't. I checked a few other reload data sheets for other manufacturers And I am thinkin I am over max by more than I am comfortable with. OK, get the puller out, pull the first bullet, dump the powder back in the empty powder measure and drop the case and all into the powder measure.. Upside down no less. SOB!! Now I cannot fish the case out for the life of me.. Finally went out to the garage and found my parts grabber.. Gawd I hate bein old..

I loaded 40 rounds several weeks ago before I noticed I'd forgotten to prime the cases... what a mess. And I'm not even 40 :-\

The other day I was stuck listening to this old bastard going on, and on, -- and on; I thought to myself "My God!! Is that what I sound like? ::) jd

All of you that are crackin' wise about dropping and forgetting things, just wait until it happens to you. I think it's gonna be a good day if walk upstairs to my office and remember to take everything I might need. Like, my cell and yes my friends the cup of freakin' coffee!

The older I become....the less l give a schitt about what people think!

I've been called an "opinionated old bastid'!

I agree!

Godzilla I just try to laugh more at myself instead of getting pissed off when I screw up. If I can remember, I triple check before every step these days. Unless it's getting pissed off at someone else, then I go directly to that step without pause.

Ditto!! And add the thought that I think I earned the right to be one. Godzilla: try not to get so peeved. I do the same kinds of things. I figure that if the "screw up" doesn't hurt anybody or cost more than a hundred bucks, it ain't that bad.

Well, I don't know about this "getting old" stuff, but I do know that at my age if it WORKS, it HURTS. :o

It's just a fact of life.. Just frustrating that when I was young I could do stuff so easily.. These days everything I do turns into a hassle it seems.. And yes hurtin body parts don't help.. The wife is experiencing the same thing. As somebody mentioned I find myself in the garage for no reason I can remember, Til I return to whatever activity I am doing and remember.

I'm just thankful that I was able to abuse my body for so many years and enjoy it..

Hey Bob,
Another new years eve baby here. Not 81 but I can see you in the headlights (dim as they are). Just finished an elk hunt and thanks to the FOG gods, the recovery was 30 yards from a 2-track. Took me and my buddy a couple of hours just to field dress and quarter. I had to look for my knife at least 5 times. But, we were there and we got it done.
