Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hello everyone.

I've been reloading since 2011 for .45ACP, 9mm, .223 and .300BLK. Within the last year I added .224 Valkyrie to that list and last month added 6.5 Creedmoor as well. I've been using a Dillon 550 that I got one of those "once in a lifetime" deals on, but have now taken the plunge into the rabbit hole that is handloading. I've started neck turning and using Wilson/Sinclair seaters with an arbor press for the Valkyrie and Creedmoor. I'm waiting on an Auto Throw/Auto Trickler setup to arrive and have a Forster Co-Ax arriving today.

I've been lurking here for a while and finally joined. Lots of incredible information here! Looking forward to being more interactive with you all.
Good, another Texan and a pistol shooter.Been working up 9MM loads for PPC competition lately.

Hello All,
My name is Charlie and I'm new to the forum. I started out loading 6.5 creedmoor one year ago. I recently purchased a 260 ackley improved bench rest rifle from a very well known forum member.
With his guidance and help I'm now having great success re-loading this wild cat cartridge.
This is a fantastic forum and a great place to learn from. I currently spend a lot of time reading and hope I'll be able to contribute to some of the discussions sometime soon.
Sincerely,
Charlie

Hello from central Virginia. Been lurking here for a couple of months and have found a wealth of info here and hope to be able to contribute at some point down the road.

I retired 6 years ago and started shooting air guns as a hobby, well after going thru about 25 of them( still have my 6 favorites and still enjoy shooting them) a year ago I got an itch that needed to be scratched. I purchased a custom 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm working on increasing my accuracy as I work on increasing the distance. At this time I don't plan on being a competitive shooter just enjoy shooting against myself and hope to be able to hit a 12" steel plate with some consistency at 1000 yards at some point in the future. It's down the rabbit hole I go as I just also started reloading for the 6.5:)

Relatively new to reloading and am having trouble with .308 ammo. After reloading, some are too fat to fit in the chamber. Some are great. I use a Lee turret press with auto-drum power dispenser. I can't figure out why some are good and some are bad.
I do not use range brass.

Hello from Idaho-

New to the forum, but I’ve been taking advantage of the vast knowledge here for a while now and figured it was time to sign in. I learned the basics from my dad twenty some odd years ago and have loaded plenty of .223, .308, and .30-06. Bought a 6.5CM three years ago and have enjoyed refining my technique in search of smaller groups. Looking forward to lots of good reading hours on the site.

Marque in North Central Idaho. Too many rifles to list here. I reload many calibers and also cast my own bullets and balls for some of the rifles and revolvers. My favorites for long range shooting are .308 (Savage Model 10FPCH, 31" Krieger #4 match barrel 1/11" twist cut for 168 gn BTHP Match ammo, stock but tuned trigger, Vortex 6-24 HSLR mil/mil scope) and 30-06 (Remington Model 700, 26" Hart #4 BBl, 1/11" twist, also chambered for 168 gn BTHP Match, with recoil eliminator, Jewel trigger, Vortex 6-24 HSLR mil/mil scope), both have custom stocks and weigh in at 15 lbs. Reloading is my favorite among the winter hobbies.

Sometimes your case prep, or sometimes die setup can cause that. I assume you are using a full length sizing die. If your cases are not trimmed to length, there can be push back on the case mouth in the process of reloading that can cause the case to bulge a bit. Also, seating the bullet too deep over a full powder load can expand the case girth, or too much crimp from the seater die can make the neck bulge too much to fit in the chamber. Just three possibles to look at. I would suggest getting a Wilson or other case length gauge and check each case after sizing, trim as necessary, then again after seating. That will tell you where the problem is occurring.

Hello Shane from eastern oregon here new to the forum. I have been reading this forum for a long time and decided to join. I have been reloading for my hunting rifles for over 30 years but with a recent accident that has left me disabled has sadly ended my hunting days. So with nothing to do I joined a local range and have began working on reloading for accuracy and target shooting. I definitely have found a new hobby that is very enjoyable and could never imagined how much I didn't know and set personal goals and compete against myself to shrink the groups. My first goal was under 1" at 300 yards every time, now it's under .750 with my best of .709 I remember being happy with that at 100 yards so new goal is .5 I might never get there but I will have fun trying.

Hello from Southern Indiana! I have been reloading for 18 years. I almost love reloading as much as shooting. I reload everything now days besides shot shell. Shot got to be so expensive! I reload many pistol and rifle rounds and have really been getting into long range shooting lately with my 13 year old son. Here is a couple pics of my reloading room.

Hello all,
I just got my first reloader, Dillon XL750, so I’m new to all of this. Ive learned a lot just reading the posts on here and I hope to learn a lot more from all of you.
Keep your powder dry!!

I've been reloading for a number of years but pretty much loading 'what the books says for that bullet'. I had a good friend who was extremely knowledgeable about reloading, who would advise me on my loads. Unfortunately he passed away a number of years ago. Miss his friendship and counsel. I think I'm ready to take my reloading to the next step and start experimenting with some different loads. Look forward to hearing from more knowledgeable people in this forum.
