Welcome to the Reloading Forum -- Introduce Yourself

Hi,

I reload a variety of calibers, both rifle and handgun, mainly for hunting.
Welcome Hog. Where is Sam? Lots of hunters to mix with here, and real accurate ones at that. Heck some even have Fly patches but I am not sure how far they shoot them. It's got to be way past 100 yards because that would be too easy for some of them. Hope you enjoy the site.

Howdy gents. I might as well start here as anywhere. Not new to firearms forums but new to this one. I found it looking for some bullets for reloading. I'm older than dirt and have just gotten back into guns after 30 years or so. I've been on the traditional bow arena for that time. Had some time off work and got back into rimfires which just lead me down the road to higher calibers and impoverishment ;D

Currently I'm reloading for .223 in a bolt and AR and .308 in AR. So far I'm getting MOA or better in each.

Hopefully I'll learn some new tricks here to help make my loads and shooting even better.

So far I've taken them out to 400 and would like to move further out when I can find a legal and decent place to do that.

jeager106 saying "hello" to all.
Nice site here, lots of good detailed information I've been looking for.
I'm retired (disabled) Lt. S.W.A.T. Commander, 22.5 years, firearms instructor among other things.
Avid shooter, hunt, fish, garden, and other "guy" things.
jeager 106 is the serial number of my custom American jeager .58 flinter.
I don't shoot as much "holy black" as I'd like to since my addiction to AR rifles staarted.
I'm happy to be here and hope to learn more than I think I know. :)

Welcome Jeager and thanks for your service. Glad you are here and I am sure you will learn much from the folks on this site like I have.

Just starting to pay a bit more attention to rifle reloading, rather than just load up and shoot. Also interested in building handgun loads for 10mm and 45ACP.

Recently stumbled onto this site again after forgetting all about it some time ago. It's great to go over so much info and try to sort the facts from the fiction. I try to assimilate similar suggestions in one area before using it as a basis for reloading strategy.

I do appreciate all those who volunteer info with the specific purpose of being helpful.. Allan

Hello fellow handloaders, I am new to handloading and am just getting a table with equipment set up. I have been doing a lot of reading on reloading and a fair amount on precision reloading to get well educated before beginning the reloading process. I am starting out with the basics in a RCBS Supreme kit and continuing to acquire the tools required for precision loading. I recently purchased a BLR in .358, have hunted blacktail, pig and bear for several years with a BLR in 7-08 and shoot an accurized mini 14 for yotes. The purchase of the .358 and the prohibitive cost of premium ammo prompted me to begin handloading. Reading Precision Shooting - Reloading Guide - with the multiple authors sharing their knowledge in each of their specialities was a very interesting read. I have been scouring the internet reading threads and looking at websites and making a list of reloading components and techniques when I came across this forum. My dad used to say "if you are going to do something you have no or limited knowledge of, learn from the folks with experience and are dedicated to doing it best; I liked what I read and chose to join.
