Hey guys
I'm currently fulfilling the role of local circus freak by shooting a surgeon short-action repeater in 6XC in F-class,open) competition. I shoot it off a 6-9" harris swivel bipod with a rear bag and currently doing pretty well.
What I'm looking for is a shorter-than-usual rear bag set up, with mid-length ears and enough gap between them to accommodate a McMillan A5 stock. I currently use a protektor model bag and often find that it is too tall when used in combination with the A5. As a result, I have to raise the bipod height, which I don't like doing as the closer I am to mother earth, the more stable the whole set up feels. I could use a sand-sock but it just doesn't give the right amount of stability.
I'm sure that there must be some old-fashioned American ingenuity around somewhere that has seen someone manufacture a 'mini' rear bag that might fit the bill.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
