Weihrauch 660 match target

A friend of mine brought me one of these to sell for him. Dammit, he also knows MY weakness for really neat rifles. He advised me to take it home and shoot it to put the target on the tag. ( A ploy to hook me, which is working )
Had the peep sights with it, never used. One slight blueing spot at the barrel's end. I honestly valued through the blue book at 750. We agreed on his money and I took it home. Mounted an old Bushnell scopechief, 4x14,50mm AO on it and shot it this morning with some Ealey Match target that my other rifles didn't like. After some seasoning/ sight in shots I shot 10 in 3/8 ths of an inch at 50 and a honest 3/4 center to center at 100. I was in a hurry ( before going to work) and cold.
I have learned a lot about Weihrauch since handling this rifle, but curious to know y'alls experiences.
This one has a straight trigger (adjustable) that screams Biathlon! Took a bit of getting used to, but smooth and breaks at 8 ounces.

I had one about 15 years ago. They have a great factory trigger that will go lower than you have it set at. My factory barrel was loose and didn't slug well so I had my action threaded and a Pacnor barrel installed and it shot great. I used it in bench matches with a flat plate in the rail. Also mine had a straight walnut stock instead of laminate, the same type though. I wish I still had her in the stable. I think they are still imported. There is also a model 60 match in a differant stock. Nice looking rifle man!

They are manufactured in Germany. They also make high end precision air rifles.
Thanks for commenting as I was thinking WOW, none of these guys have had their hands one?
I'm gonna see if this guy wants to swap out something for it.

I have worked on one , walnut stocked . Nice rifle , take a look at the Marlin 2000 . Dang near a copy .

Have one of those with the original walnut stock and aperture sights. Has a 20" Anschutz barrel. Best trigger on any rifle I own. If I wasn't into .22BPCR shooting I would be shooting it in smallbore silhouette.
