Weight of Barrel on Savage Palma Rifle?

I have a Savage Model 12 .308 Palma rifle with the original factory barrel. I'm trying to figure out what the barrel weighs but I don't want to have to take off the barrel to weigh it.

Can someone tell me what the factory barrel weighs on the Palma rifle? I called Savage and they didn't know (!).

And while we're at it: what is the contour of the factory barrel on the Palma rifle? Judging from the diameter just aft of the turned-down portion where the front sight band goes, I'm guessing it's a medium Palma but I'd like to know for sure. Thank you.

I don't have one off to actually weigh but it should be around 5 to 5.5 lbs. They are medium Palma.

The weight of the factory barrel on my Savage 12 Palma was 4.68 lbs. Hope this helps.
