Weighing brass

300 RUM

Gene Nowaczyk
I know this is one of those beaten to death questions but here we go.

When weighing brass do you weigh to the whole grain or to the tenth grain?

I have two hundred new Lapua 308's, they weigh from 171.9 to 173.2 with a large amount of variables in between. 16 total different values.

I also have two hundred new Nosler 308's they weigh from 163 to 164 with only 6 variables in between.

Another friend has one hundred new Lapua 308's from a different lot weighing 164.5 to 173 with 11 variables in between.

It seem Lapua has maybe gone down hill or am I missing something, my last lot of five hundred were all within 1.25 grains of each other and i do not remember having so many variables in between.

Any one have a answer??

Seems par for the course-
Lapua is the best . . .right??

I haven't been taken, as I've run Rem URBR brass exclusively for 20+ years & they all weight with in 1 grain-155gr.
