Webcam For My Beam Scale

Ahh! I understand about the charging problem - running a camera from the phone battery will soon suck the life out of it.

The most economical solution would be a cheap android tablet, as shown in my video with the Dillon scale in post #11. These give you a 7" screen and can be mains powered while they are being used.

These tablets are just so cheap now - again they need the free app.
Here's one for $20 and a camera for less that $5 and you're ready to go.

And another HERE $12 :)

Excellent job - This is particularly relevant when using the new RCBS M500 scale. Because of the ambidextrous beam, the zero pointer is some way away from the face of the beam, this can easily lead to parallax errors when reading.

Virtually any $5 webcam will work, just need to make sure it has a manual focus lens which will need to be unscrewed a little to focus down to just a couple of inches.

For a PC without webcam support (windows 7) you can use: (Free program)

or

These little cameras also work well on an android tablet with a free app:

The android tablets are available for as little as $30 - you can see the system in action here:

I've been using a camera system for around six years now, as originally seen on the accurate shooter forum back in 2010:

and the smartphone system here:

Old thread I know but, for anyone like myself who was looking for a good software program that does fullscreen that noeld.com is awesome. Sure is better then the oem Logitech for sure.
Thanks for the link 1066 :)
