Weaver repair

I have a older Weaver 36. The other day, I did not notice that the rifle with the scope on it, shifted and I closed the door on it and slightly bent the elevation knob. I emailed Weaver and the said they could not fix it because they no longer had the parts to fix it. Did not offer anything else to help my situation. ( did they change ownership, again?) The scope still tracks well. I can live with it. I do not think I will buy from them again. I have enough scopes. nilebartram

I have a 7/8 tube 4x Weaver that was produced in the late 80's. Recently the reticle began to rotate with ever shot. Supposedly had a life time warranty. Sent it back to Vista Outdoor. They told me that it was obsolete and not repairable. And since Weaver scopes are not being made any more, I can purchase a new 4x Bushnell at the discounted price of $95.10. So much for their Lifetime warranty. I am buying a Vortex. This weaver was on my Ruger 10-22.
