Weatherby XXII

Beautiful gun. Lousy accuracy. Great to look at, don't like shooting it because of the accuracy limitations. Recommendations for a medium weight barrel. Want to have it threaded into the receiver. ANY help for the trigger would be appreciated.

Yes, I own several.

The switch does convert from single shot to semi-auto. The rifles were made in Italy or Japan other than a very, very few made in the US by Mossberg (never seen one). Generally they are extremely accurate, and a lot of fun to shoot.

Price seems to be dependent on where they were made (Italy > Japan) and the character of the wood.

There is a tube fed version. I owned one, briefly, but the USPS broke the stock on it before I received it, and I never took possession. It was the most gorgeous wood on any I have seen.

Lan , I'm guessing you're inquiring about the Bolt Action , but either way .....you might try asking on rimfirecentral.com . I have never heard of Accuracy problems with the Anschutz Actioned Weatherby , but have never shot one . I have shot plenty of the Italian and Japanese Semi-autos and was always satisfied with the Accuracy for Plinking . BTW Eyes ..... I came across a NIB US made Semi in a cut-rate Discount Store many years ago . It was there for over a year . When I first looked at it , I said to the Salesman : " Gee , I never knew that some of these were made in the US " . Some Magazine came out with an Article on the Weatherby XXII and mentioned that only a few hundred were made in the US . I RAN down to the Store and guess what ? Someone beat me to it !
