WC872 Powder -- Good for what Cartridges?

I've got a 1920 Swede Mauser 6.5x55 that I use wc872 in. There's data online for this cartridge, which makes me think it would work in most chamberings. I get about 2400fps with a 140 and it seems to burn pretty clean. It makes for fun plinking rounds at the range that are VERY cheap to make.

Mustang over at Cast Bollits is making duplex loads with some kind of pistol powder and WC872 and loading 223 with his powder. I am not recommending it but I guess it can be done. i am interested in the 25-06 load mentioned.

I've got 50 cases that need to be fire formed to my newest 6mm Competition Match barrel. I think I'll run H870 on Quickload and see what I can come up with something safe and useable. If it's not a go I'll just use my standard H1000 load. I have about 32 pounds of it.

I bet that WC872 would work as a regular load in a 6CM, if you could get enough in the case to get the speed you are looking for. It may not be too far down the burn rate list to work just right. i am going to try it and Retumbo in my 25-06. It has never shot as good as before since i put the new barrel on it.

You guys that have used h870 before, could you give me a start point for a 338 edge with 250 grain bullets. So far I haven't been able to find any information for it. Just looking for a safe starting point.

You probably saw this, but quickload gives a load for 870 and a 300gr bullet, you might be able to get close enough from there?
