WC 844 militaty powder what is it?

I have a chance to buy 32 pounds WC 844 rifle powder at a very low price. Has anybody used this powder? If so what calibers is it good for? Has anybody got any pet loads for this powder? Any and all information is appreciated.

I have shot at least that much of it. Works great in 223 and similar. Use H335 data. Downside, it is a bit temp sensitive so be careful when working near maximum. I can provide data later if you need it.

Just divied up a 100 pounder yesterday.

WC844 is the same as H335. Military calls it WC844 and Hodgdon calls it H335.

MTETM, any knowledge of WC-852

I split a single 8 pounder with a friend several years ago. Reported burn rates similar to 4831, but the reports have been different lots had different burn rates.

I still have a pound or so of the lot we got. Never had much success with it in '06 sized cases. It was slow and never didn't shoot very well for us. We chronoed a bunch of loads and nothing was very good.

I am sure some folks have had great success with different lots, but the stuff we got wasn't worth a damn.
I am sure I still have data somewhere for it if you are interested.

If it is like H335 Is really only good for 222,223 and other small cases. I have a couple of 223's and a 222 but it would take forever to use 32 pounds. Thank you all that replied. Russ

If you come accross any the 846 will work for you.
It is very close to BLC2 Works well in the 308 etc.
