Warner dies???

Yup, i know they are spendy.......

I need to know who uses them and how do you like them????

I read a little about them here on the forum and want to know more.....

Can you use the same die body and reload 6 Dasher and .223 AI with a bushing change, or do these require separate die bodies????

What press are you using them in???

Tell me what you know about them, because i don`t know much.......

Phil.

Phil , I have a Warner FL die for my .308. My Redding .308 dies never get used anymore. Sorry I can't answer your question about the Dasher etc but I can tell you Al & Dan are easy to talk to, so shoot them an email.
I use my die in an RCBS RC IV Press , you will need a press that has the machined insert which is removed to accommodate the Warner Die. I have this die permanently mounted in my press which is only used for .308 Palma ammo. It takes a bit of getting used to removing the bottom disc which holds the head space shims in place but I got the hang of it pretty quick.
All in all , if you want an FL die which is made to your fired cases and will give you really straight cases spend the bucks on the Warner. I got the whole shebang, an FL DIE and a chamber reamer made all off my fired brass. And to get the best out of brass, annealing is recommended by Al & Dan.

regards
Mike.

Yes all you need is the shoulder neck bushing and the body insert. As long as they are shorter then the main Body, any cartridge will work. Matt

I have 2 of them and like them both better than any die I have ever owned...
Fit and finish is beyond great....
I have inserts and neck shoulder bushing for 9 different calibers... and am about to order them for the 338 Ultra Mags...

I don't think Warner makes anything that isn't top shelf. Talk to them - they're very accommodating with questions.

As others noted; Warner dies are the best available. I have inserts for .284 Shehane and .300 WSM. Mine are installed in a Lee Classic Cast with the insert removed. Any press that has 1¼-12 threads will work. Buy once, cry once, happy ever after. ;)

I bought a Warner die as part of a package deal to get a JGS reamer for a wildcat that included the go gauge, reamer, RWS brass and the Warner die (if I wanted it). IIRC the price was $350 or so for the die with standard and small body inserts. I balked at spending that price for a DIE for Christ's sake! Joke was on me....it is impressive enough that I soon sent off 5 fired cases to get the inserts with two different neck sizes for my 6.5 Creedmoor and did not flinch (not too much anyway) to spend $330 for the new caliber inserts. The die is made to 'space shuttle' tolerances...rather impressive.

That was a really good price on that die, you'll always be able to get your money back on that one !!!!!!!!!!

I'd say that is a memory error. They have only ever been that price at the onset of mfg., some 15 or longer years ago.
Current price is 525.00 for that series and after the current group at heat treat are completed in a week or two the price is going to
640.00 . The intermediate series ( up to a Chey Tac) will be 700.00. 50 cal will be 775.00
Expanders and appropriate spacers are always available along with head space buttons.

Insert sets will also rise, but as yet to be determined.
BTW: I've never made or will make inserts for anything smaller than 6mm.

No error Alan. I bought the die as a package that was bought about 5 years earlier and never used; new but old so to speak. That is why I said the joke was on me as I balked at the price I paid...until I saw the quality and time put into the piece and the current prices. I would say I got a good deal!

First time I had heard of these, checked out the website, I'd love to use put my hands on a set and use them.
