Wanted: Sporter forearm benchrest adapter

Brians356

Where can I get one of those U-shaped universal plastic adapters to form a square bottom on a sporter forearm?

All I find now are ones for attaching to specific accessory rails. (Note: Real rifles don't have accessory rails!)

Note: I did find this one from Sinclair:

It's great, but I think there is a simpler, lighter all-plastic design out there.

I have one of these and like it very much. Have had guys at the range say they wish they had one. Best Wishes

Tell 'em all that requires is $36.95 plus shipping - but it's out of stock.

R. W. Hart & Son in Nescopeck Pa has them. Look up their catalog online. I think they call it the Accuracy Asset. They have about 40 pages of shooting and accuracy products. Matt

Yes, yes, the Sinclair and Hart (different designs) are both heavy, and use a lot of metal. Not what I described, but they (at least the Hart) seem to be all that's available now.

I thought the new Sinclair was made from delrin?

Take a peek. What's that shiny silvery material?

I said they "use a lot of metal". And they do.

I have a plate that is curved for a sporter type forearm and it is just a sled from Sinclair they made for ar-15's and it works on other guns as well and it is delrin.

I have a Hart and a Sinclair "Accuracy Asset", both were used on Savage Model 12's LRPV. ln good shape, $28.00 shipped CONUS, Send PM if interested.

Brian, I have used all 3 of these over the years & IMO the Sinclair is the best. IIRC, the Hart is an odd size, like 3 1/4" instead of the std 3"; the others are 3" wide. FWIW, I put electrical tape over the rubber buttons on the Sinclair to keep them from sticking to the stock. Let me know if you can't find one, I have several, but postage might be a little problem.

I have one of the Sinclairs. It's both aluminum and Delrin. The adjustable piece that contacts the stock is Al, the part that contacts the front bag is Delrin.

Yes, thanks. Obvious from the pictures on the Sinclair site. I requested information about an all-plastic design I had been aware of.
