I have a 6br Savage F-Class legal stock that also works for bench rest that shoots sub 2" groups at 600 yards. It has a fresh Criterion barrel with less than 500 rounds on it. Just some advice that’s worth what you paid for it. If your budget is in the 2500 range for a rifle you can buy a lot of good custom guns that wil serve you a long time. I’ve seen people buy in on a savage for and keep sinkin money in them and get close to what they would have if they just bought a quality used custom rifle. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a savage win but my daughter has beat a lot of shooters in her first year with a second hand custom gun.

He might be shooting a factory class also fellas. That might be why he is wanting a savage.
