Wanted: 6.8 SPC Load Data for 1:11 barrels

I have had 200rds of loaded 6.8spc ammo sitting around here for years, ... and of course instead of just pulling those bullets like a normal person would do, I went and bought a complete new 6.8spc upper receiver to use them up with, (it's a lot more fun).

Since that won't take to long to do I'm looking for new data to reload that brass with. Everything I come with is the old stuff written years ago and for the 1:10 twist barrels. I'm hoping someone here is still interested in this caliber besides me, if you will steer me the right direction it will help a lot, thanks.

What weight bullet are you looking to use? I've got personal load data for 90 gr I'm sure. Thinking without seeing my binder that I was using H4198.

I will be Using 90-115gr bullets and I have on hand H322, Benchmark and CFE black. Bullets are next on the list and a set of dies of course, ... here I go again! There must be cheaper ways to beat boredom.

1:10 vs 1:11 twist won't make any difference in load data. You can shoot 130gr bullets in a 1:11. What length barrel and bullet are you planning? I've been shooting the 6.8 for years.

This build is a simple 18" 1/11 upper from PSA armory. The last one was a ar performace 1/11.25 16" barrel and it shot very good groups, this was at least 10 years ago.

Little late to the party. But 28 grs of Accurate 2200 and Nosler 115 gr Custom Comp bullets shoot .5 MOA via my PSA and ARP barrels. That’s my plinking load. Use a similar load with Accubonds for hunting.

11" twist is good with anything (except long solids like the TTSX) up to 120 and even some 130 gr bullets.

Lot's of data on Hodgdon's reloading data center for the 6.8 sps

Top left corner click on Rifle because it's set on pistol by default... select your cartridge and click "update".

All the data you need is there with the powders you have and bullets you like to buy.

The powders you have are best suited for 120 gr bullets but Hodgdon has data with your powders for lighter bullets too.

You before hitting the "update", you can filter for only the powders and bullets you like to use.

BTW.... the Hornady 115 bthp was kind of specifically made for the 6.8 spc for 10" & 11" twist barrels.

H322 is a good powder for the 90's (I haven't done much with it). If you're going to hunt with it I've had great luck with Barnes 95 TTSX and 30 some grains of AA2200 loaded a little short of max mag length.
Reloader 7 is also a great powder for the lighter bullets.

Check out 68forums.com for load info. Sorry if this ruffles any feathers.
