6.5×6.8 or 7mm×6.8 for AR Hog rifle

I'm sure the 6.8spc has been necked up and down to every size.
The SD of the 120 grain 6.5 and 7mm are more to my likeing for a hog gun.
Does anyone have experiance with the 6.8 necked to 6.5 or 7mm?

I doubt the pigs would be able to tell the difference. There are quite a few good .277 bullets.

Everyone and their brother has a 6.8 (I have 2 an AR & a TC) I also like the 6.5 Grendal / LBC.
I want something differnt. Plus I have a bucket full of 6.8 brass and it's nasty cold outside, I just want to play with a new toy!

I guess, take your pick, pretty easy to neck up or down. Spec a reamer & dies & have at it. That's why I have a 30PPC. Don't see many more of them.

You say different.....Well then open the 6.8 up to .325 or .338 or even .35 (think 357 Maximum in a AR)that'll help with the HOGS.

Keep It Simple Stupid, .223/5.56 does just fine, get a 1/7 twist barrel and sling Hornady 75bthp or 77SMK at them.
Stupid? You ever hunt hogs?
I've used the 223/77SMK combo on a bunch of pigs with good sucess but on big Hogs 250lb+ it's not that great. The 6.8 with 95gr Barnes Triple shock works very well on the larger hogs, (47 hogs in 2011).
I'm leaning to the 7mmx6.8 with 120gr Branes triple shock.

If you wanna have a real hoot? ;D .458 SOCOM/405gr. Remington bullet @1650f/s. I shot some in Florida a while ago and it bulged their eyes and spun them around. Head shots are funny.
