Wanted: 6.5x55 match reamer

Looking to buy a 6.5x55 match reamer. Standard 6.5x55's are cut for 160gr., round nosed bullets and that means a very long throat. I'm looking for a reamer cut for a 140gr. bulllet...preferably Sierra's 140gr MK. but not mandatory.

I bought a standard 6.5x55 Manson reamer , it has a .200 freebore I believe. It works well with various Berger 140 grain bullets. He will send you a drawing if you want to check out the dimensions. I like it and it's worked well for me

A .200-.210" freebore will work with all 140-150gr VLD bullets. I shoot a .188" fb reamer (Bob Jourdan AI) and wished it would have been a little longer.

Thanks, Appreciate you sharing your info with me. I'm thinking that is about the same freebore as what I have in my chamber...that's being only .050" short of a 1/4" . I might be wrong but, I wouldn't be expecting freebore plus the leade to be much more than that in a match chamber. I wouldn't mind having a copy of that drawing though, if for nothing else, to be able to compare..

Thankks for your input Robin...I'm nnot into using the VLD slugs. Hornady's and Sierra Match are what I normally shoot. In one sense though, you, more or less, validated my quest for a different chamber. VLD's being sharper in the ogive chord with higher ogive terminations. This type of searching is what makes our sport fun...and frustrating. Right? Thanks again for the info.
