Want to convert 700 Remington to single shot for stock change.

Is there anything else out there besides glue in Davidson Loading Ramp for my 700 Remy SA? Maybe something more solid? Am wanting to use a Lonewolf 1000 Br stock on my 6AI BDL action. And want to eliminate bottom metal/magazine. Or is anyone making action blocks?

Stock I have currently on rifle is the Laminate thumbhole stock from Stockys and torques badly even with BR adapter. Thanks in advance.

Frank: I'm very happy with 2 of my HS precision hunter benchrest stocks that I have on 2 of my Remington 700 short-actions. 2 1/4" flat forend rides the front bag nicely, cheekpiece low enough to not get in the way of the cleaning rod, bore guide, or my borescope. Both only required very minor touchup bedding. Barrel channel wide enough to take a heavy varmint contour. One of these stocks will be on the switch-barrel, with a Krieger 1-8 chambered in 6BRX, in the works now. Just looked in the Midway catalog # 33, page 544, this stock is now available also with a 3" wide forend, priced at $316.99, items # 323-436 and 746-524.

Exactly what I am looking for! But tig welding in has what effect on action?

Frank, thanks for your thoughts, but I already bought this dedicated Lone Wolf BR stock and am wanting to use it on this particular rifle. Those are nice stocks though.
