I'm not going to reply to anything posted here. Because I don't want to be labeled. Like I was already by SPJ even though I said I believe in the virus and I don't want anyone to die from it.

There's a construction site in Ohio with 4000 workers on it plus all the factories. I don't see them shutting them down. They want to keep exposure to a minimum so the have grocery stores REDUCE their hours so everyone has to go at the same time. I'm not denieing this virus at all. I believe that they are using it as an experiment on the people to what we will do. Also to destroy the current economy and blame Trump. Oh and by the way if you don't want to go to the match don't go you will be safe at home.
Really?
A giant conspiracy huh....:D

Read the entire article ; and found it to be interesting , to say the least . Some could interpret it to be conspiracy theory , some supposition , some accurate fact . But my read was a little of each . the best correlation I can make to this would be to go back to the Kennedy assassination , and ask one very simple question ....Who stands to gain the most from this entire crisis ? There in ; lies your answer . Personally ; I don't feel this entire pandemic was any sort of a tragic accident , simply because of the actions taken by the Chinese , regarding how they handled their own people , and the medical people who tried to sound the alarm back in late Nov , early Dec of last year . Again ; Who stands the most to gain ?

China's worst "enemy has been Trump , from day one . His new deals with China have caused chaos in the Chinese economy , and caused them to "Lose Face" , to the entire world's economic community . If you know anything about Asian culture , that was worse than actual war , as far as they are concerned . And now they are threatening to cut off medical supplies and drugs in response . Again ; Who stands to gain from this ?

We have had the best economy in the world under the guidance of our current POTUS . Un-employment at record numbers for every group . A rebuilt Military , etc. , etc. , etc . Who stands to gain from a American collapse ? Better yet ....Who will get the BLAME ? Just seven months before our next election ...And who was it said we have nothing to fear from the Chinese ? "They're no competition for us" . "They are our friends".....Who stands the most to gain ?
something to think about , for all of us .

You know, there is a lot of crap to be read surrounding current events. But if people are trapped at home and have the time, I have something much better to read. The Story of Civilization by Will and Ariel Durant. I've been through the first 5 volumes. The second volume, The Life of Greece is my favorite so far. IMO this should be required reading for everyone. You can find audio and printed versions at the usual outlets.

If a little less volume is to your preference, their Story of Philosophy is excellent as well. It basically covers the history of human thought from Socrates to Santayana. Both will put current events into perspective. Take to time to expand the mind rather than let it be slapped around by the constant flow of effluvium emanating from sources all around us in the modern age.

I just finished an excellent book. Was researching Thomas Blanchard...... have seen one of his copy lathes at Harpers Ferry,and just darn interesting historical figure. Then stumbled on this book;

"From the American System to Mass Production 1800-1932" by,David A. Hounshell.

It is chock full of "gun stuff" even though the prime mission is about how America influenced the industrial revolution globally. I'm reasonably well read on firearm history but was very surprised to see how MUCH,firearms got the ball rolling in the early to mid 1800's. All the "players" are well represented with,not only Blanchard but "my" guys,Brown & Sharpe.

The last section is devoted to Ford but,is quick to recognize how "late" he was within the evolution. Bought the book used. Great read for say,any gunsmiths here wanting some background history. And frankly,will give ANY reader a better understanding of firearm armories involvement in forming this great nation.

Just about anything written by Victor Davis Hanson is good. "The Case for Trump" is pretty informative. "Carnage and Culture" is another one. He's a great historian.
