Who wants to wait a year for a barrel? I looked into them but the huge wait turned me away. I found several of the Walther barrels in stock and it turned out a friend had a spare, bully for me...Lilja
A year or so ago, they had plenty of .22LR bull barrels ready to ship. I contacted them because I wanted a sporter barrel for my CZ455 but the gentleman there told be they would only make a sporter profile if he had at least 10 orders. Never was able to convince others on another forum to go along with me.Who wants to wait a year for a barrel? I looked into them but the huge wait turned me away. That's a shame. Probably takes less than a ½ hour to install a barrel blank in a CNC lathe and turn it to the contour you need, once they call up the program on the machines computer.A year or so ago, they had plenty of .22LR bull barrels ready to ship. That's what I thought!! The gentleman was very polite and got back to me quickly but that was their hard and fast rule. I ended up ordering a .22 Magnum barrel from CZ USA instead and it shoots like a dream so maybe he did me a favor! That's a shame. Good for you! He's most likely looking at "set-up" time and the boss has a minimum run on the number of barrels so that set-up time is absorbed. That's what I thought!! Shows awesome promise with Lapua Center-X, RWS50, and Norms Tac-22. Now the bad part... I'm out of all 22 ammo! Can't shoot matches or even play, shortages suck!
Ouch, that hurts. I bought a whole brick of that a little over a year ago and it was $112 bucks. Season is half over now I'll wait....![]()

Lefty,
get yourself over to the CCI Ammunition web-site. They have CCI Standard for sale with a 10 box limit and will ship right to your night stand.

Maybe so, but I was informing him of what was AVAILABLE, like now! If you know where he can get the .22 rimfire ammunition he posted about.................offer it up.Wasn't he looking for accuracy ammo??
Looks like a winner to me. I've had great luck with those Federal TNT rounds also with the Sierra HP bullet in my Ruger 77/22 magnum. Turns those little red squirrels into "red mist".Okay, this is a Walther .22lr barrel for a Ruger 10/22....has a 22lr bore. Threaded and chambered for .22Mag with my 22M tight reamer, then fitted to a fairly early 77/22M which he also threaded. Another guy did the trigger, it's 12oz...that helps. View attachment 1247870View attachment 1247871This was back in '96. Here's the gun and here's how it shoots, many people would probably be happy if their .22lrs shot like that. Target was shot either off the hood or tailgate of the truck, I don't remember. It's been very effective on literally thousands of groundsqirrels-prairie dogs-rockchucks-etc with Win. 40 JHP. During the season I don't leave home without it. I wouldn't hesitate to have one of these barrels on a .22. But I would want to know who did the work and what kind of chamber was used.
If you keep your eyes open Champions Choice, Killough Shooting Sports, and others have it available from time to time. You can't depend on somebody to find it for you. Through many years I've purchased ammo and components along when a deal presented itself. I don't lack for those items as I've been prepared.Maybe so, but I was informing him of what was AVAILABLE, like now! Good for you. Being prepared is a GOOD thing, and I TRY to do the same. Not always successful, but when prices are good, I ask for a raise in my paltry weekly allowance so I can get a few measly boxes of .22 rimfire ammunition:If you keep your eyes open Champions Choice, Killough Shooting Sports, and others have it available from time to time.
