Hesse HBR 50BMG. I bought this in 2005 used from a guy who got scared to shoot it due to Hesse's reputation and the internet rumors. He had fired only only a few times, never even scoped it. Since I've had it I have put approximately 100-200 rounds through it. All surplus stuff and american eagle. It's a hoot. The brake makes it a spectacle. I have a Barrett 82 and when folks ask to shoot a 50 I always used this one saving my 82. Gun is about 30#. Shipping will be high so I'll say split shipping. Likely be disassembled to ship for length. Scope not included. $1500 plus 1/2 shipping with scope. $1300 & split shipping

If local pick up I'll toss in some surplus ammo.

$1100 Shipped

The Mauser is a Yugoslav M1924. FN of Belgium set up a factory in Yugoslavia where these were made until 1941, when Germany invaded and shut down the factory. IMHO, a really interesting rifle. I would love to have it, but I have too many other projects going on. I do love military sporters. I say they’re tired of their past life of hunting men. They want to hunt animals and punch holes in paper.

Thank you for the info.

Both guns are OBO as well. Feel free to PM me any offers guys.

The 50 will not win any beauty contest. It's a novelty. It's heavy. It'll make you smile. It'll make your friends smile. If I recall the brake might be slanted a bit, I never made a crush washer for it to time. It's never bothered me for the intend purpose. However if you have ever wanted one. But don't want to put a lot in one, this is your opportunity. I'll pull scope and reduce another $200 if you don't want the scope.

Wow... I just read up on that guy Hesse.

So, his rifles were banned from places?

Well, since I'd probably not shoot it, if you make it down to the "hang it on the wall to look at" price, I'll take it.

Afternoon:
I am not familiar with the Hesse 50BMG but interested!
Cost per shot?

Steve
They are cheap and fun to shoot----most of us don't shoot many rounds through our 50's.

Free bump
Thanks Bill,
What I meant is that they are cheap to shoot because we don't shoot many rounds but, I think you can find that some of the big magnums cost more than the 30 BMG to shoot per round.
