Walmart Tool Warning

Anybody on here a tool salesman? I have a fetish and my snap on man quit on me

After 14 years wrenching; I found the quality of your salesmen trumps brand. In that time we went from one Snap On man to none Snap On man, then another... Same with Matco. I never even seen a Cornwell dealer.

After 14 years as a diesel tech I'm out; done gone farming. I'm trading in my triple bank Macsimiser with hutch and side locker for a triple bank without the add-ons (less room at home for the big rig), from the same Mac Man I bought first pliers from 14 years ago. As a double bonus, all their power tools share batteries with DeWalt...

When i was an auto body man our cornwell guy was who we all bought from. Around here it was a snap on guy we liked. Now i dont have a guy but need some sockets. Ill take matco, mac, snap on, cornwell, sk, etc.

If you're going to buy cheap Chinese made crap just go to harbor freight... At least they normally have a warranty on their hand tools , of course you still have to waist your time going back and forth... Problem is most people don't know anymore about quality... If you want disposable tools IE don't care if they get lost and work once then china stuff is for you.... But when people look at the price of one wrench being the price or even more than a entire set of China made garbage they don't know the difference and won't pay the difference...

We have been sold out.... Part of the problem is everything you buy is Chinese crap because that's the only option anymore... Combine that with skyrocketing prices and there it is... Unless you're buying snap on , matco etc and paying as much as an entire shopping cart full of China made crap for one wrench and socket set what other American made tools are out there or even easily accessible to be bought..??? Even craftsman sold out years ago... That really pisses me off because I always bought craftsman for my home tools and have alot of them out in my shop.... I don't really work on stuff professionally anymore but if I break something I trade it in saying made in USA and get a cheap Chinese crap one back for warranty... If I would have known that years ago I would have saved the money and just bought cheap china crap then...

A warranty isn't worth a damn if the company sells out etc... I have a very nice pool stick I paid ALOT for years and years and years ago because they were supposed to be the best and had a lifetime warranty.... When I finally needed that warranty they said they sold out and wouldn't honor it but if I want a replacement shaft it would be $300-400... I threw it in the corner and went out and bought a new $400 stick that's better... That's exactly what's happening in America anymore...

Just about everyone knows this already but I needed a T10 bit so I bought a Hyper Tough bit set from Walmart since I was already there. Put the bit in the screw, turned, and the bit sheared in two pieces. Moral of the story, don’t buy cheap tools (I know duh :))
wiah ebay 10 double end bits for 9 shipped T10 I bought 10 cut some in half to use in my driver
