Waist caught

She almost made it through the snare loop, waist caught. Ranch hand stopped me when I arrived saying it was caught yesterday. Didnt text me, said he almost shot it, told him shoot any live ones next time that are alive in a snare.
I got my catch pole, cut the cable and conked it out.
Was a fighter, but giving up.

You gave him what he deserved. Would have been better if the ranch hand had done the job sooner but you cannot change the past. You did tell him so you are trying to change the future.

The ranch hand is a little short on common sense, imo.
