VX-III 6.5-20x40,55146) for target work?

Was thinking of getting one of these for target work with my .260 build. Right now the highest power I have is 10x.

Thoughts.. opinions?

John

I gave one to my son for his varmint rifle - a .223 Bushmaster w/24" barrel. He really likes the scope. The varmints aren't too keen on it though... :thumb: It seems to be working out real well for him. My dad also has one on his .22-250 varminter. He is also very happy with it.

I seem to be the only guy in our family w/o one. Bummer. Nice scopes. With target knobs they do well.

I find myself relying on a fixed 12x for competition. It works fine on NRA highpower prone courses but the added magnification of a 6.5-20x would be nice from a stable rest like in F-class or benchrest.

Regards, Guy

That is the same thing I was thinking with the wide variable range. Low power for offhand and more magnification for the more stable positions.
