VV N-150 and Berger 200.20x

Just a FYI, you may need to load with a drop tube to get to 2650 fps with N-150. Not a must by any means but using one about 12 inches long makes things much easier.
You dont need a drop tube but you do have compression when seating the bullet with 44-44.5g of N150 in Lapua brass with a 200.20x. Dont fear the crunch. I dont condone this load but it will get you to that speed range. Use +44g at your own risk, work up to it and dont just go shoot it with a chamber that doesnt have at least 0.170” freebore.

How do mean? These are both 200gr Hybrid bullets. Yes, one may be longer than the other. BUT they are both the same weight and design. The bullet seating depth may be different for each THAT may AFFECT THE POWDER CHARGE. but the load data is the same for both bullets.
I understand the book data is the same. In real world use, they're very different to load for.

Have to politely disagree about getting 2650 or higher and having to use a drop tube . My load is 43.7gr of N150 , and I pour the load into the case using a metal scale pan . . It only fills to the base of the shoulder . Keep in mind that different areas of the country have different climate issues , that may effect velocities .
I've noticed that many folks from the Mid-west , and East Coast use N140 to get the velocities that we have no problem reaching to here in Arizona with N150 . I occasionally get velocities as high as 2690 , same load , in the middle of a string , and I really don't know why it happens , but it does . Either that ; or the Garmin is lying .
I have learned that it does shoot slower , by 15 to 20 FPS in a very clean barrel , and after about ten to fifteen rounds , velocity comes back to normal speeds .

If you'll reread my post I said you MAY have to. Depends on the freebore. I used a drop tube to avoid the crunch.
