Vudoo V22

Anyone have any experience with a Vudoo V22? It's a Rem 700 footprint and they will soon be offering it in a LH version.

I've been following the development of the V-22 since Mike Bush announced its existence. Quite a few of us have Rem 40X 22rf single shot rifles that have been converted to use Mike's AICS-style 10rd 22RF magazines, and they make excellent trainers/precision RF rifles that can easily be configured to match the size, weight, & balance of our competition rifles. With a custom bbl, good trigger, scope, & appropriate stock, these converted 40X repeaters are really accurate, plus a ton of fun to shoot.

However, there are a finite number of 40X & 40XB actions out there - and if it weren't for the fact that the CMP sold several thousand of them to qualified shooters about 13yrs ago - there'd be far fewer of them available. As it is, many shooters are loathe to modify their single shot target rifles, and many of these rifles are held by collectors who are very unlikely to re-sell them, much less convert them into repeaters. So the creation of a 22RF action designed from the start to work with Mike's magazines is an excellent alternative to searching for a 40X for a donor action, then paying to have it converted. If I hadn't already had both my 40Xs converted into repeaters, I'd be looking to purchase one of these new V-22 actions, and then barrel it with a custom match grade 22rf bbl. Mine are tack-drivers with Benchmark & Krieger bbls.
