Vudoo is DONE!

I see 2 scenarios, one they take the money and run.
Then there will be lawsuits to follow. Did they pay all the vendors
and down payments back before 'moving"
Other is, they open backup, but who would plunk down money and
hope that in 6-12 months that you get a rifle and the same thing
doesn't happen again.
None of the gunsmiths are following along, so what quality do you get?
Only time will tell. This isn't good for the brand name.
This will only add to the already long waits for other high end 22lr builds.

If they do plan to skip town, they could just dissolve the business in Utah. Leave everyone high and drive.

Open back up in OK with a slightly different Vudoo name.

Who knows, but from what I see, I tend to believe more in the forums posts over the company FB post about their lease.

If they are opening in 4 weeks in OK, they had to have registered with ATF of the new address. anyone should be able to search for their FFL

I believe Jacob Herman who allegedly purchased Vudoo is
a head figure with Century arms so I dont think there is an issue
with any firearms licensing.

Mr Herman is the appointed CEO not the owner
Michael Sucher is the CEO of Century Arms
Mr Herman was appointed the CEO of Vudoo by the investment company that bought it
Problem with these companies is that the owner/decision maker wasn’t actively shooting the product. Baity Falcon, 10X and now Vudoo all the same Top people weren’t shooters

Lee,
10X is still in business, just not making RF actions anymore. I talked to the one of the owners a couple of years ago looking for spare parts. Seems they are into long range CF and still have their 07 FFL. They are still in Du Bois, PA under the name of 10X Shooting Supplies / 10X Custom.

Interesting because their FFL shows expired since 2018.

The info I saw on the web must be dated, but I did speak to one of the owners in the spring of '23 after I acquired a 10X Sporter. He told me they were building ELR rifles, but he did not say they were machining the actions. I suppose one could build rifles with anybody's action, like tons of gunsmiths around the country!

Hi Scott,

That is very interesting about 10X however with the ending of the RF action it is pretty much went the way of the others I mentioned. which is a shame.

Yes sir, I agree. I own/owned several different actions for IR Sporter and my 10X is my favorite.

I refrained from posting this until I knew for sure. Vudoo Gunworks has closed their doors as of last Tuesday.
Yes, the website is still up and it doesn't mention anything about them closing. I would not order anything from them though. I did send an email placing an order for a scope base and they do not reply.
Mile High Shooting, who has long been a good Vudoo vendor, has taken them off the website. Euro Optic still has some inventory listed but very sparse (no magazines).
Mike Bush, who was initially a driving force in the company has confirmed this closing publicly on another forum.
I order my rifle last June of 2024, in may I called my bank and told them what has happen and that I have not received my rifle. They disputed it and I got my money back, all of it. After the time for Vudoo gun work to respond was over I kid you not the next week I get a call from Vudoo gun work informing me tgat my rifle is being finished up. I told them to stick it up their butt I don’t want it, I talked to the new owner over the phone and told him that he has a sorry company and that I don’t think their guns want be as good as the one before.

That frustration is valid. That new guns won’t be as good is speculative. I’d buy your gun from them right now myself, sight unseen, on the basis that the new operation is fully aware of our expectations.

I had to dispute a charge recently with a retailer whose practice is to show inventory for items not actually in stock, but charge upon placement of the order.

Many guys don’t follow up, forget or pass away. Not me, I asked for a no-deduction refund when they did not disagree that they have no control over when Badger will make bottom metal.

This one actually said it would refund the money then stopped responding when that period passed.

Yes, the credit card company doesn’t tolerate that and may move to sever with them if they repeat this, I’d hope. This is why I’m slow to join resentment toward our credit card companies. They don’t have the word “insurance” in their names, but they sure are including that in some of their services.

They took lots of peoples money for pre orders on their custom 1911s . Then abruptly without warning fired all their gunsmiths and shut down shop. Fast forward a couple of months and it comes out that they are moving. That they are partnering with some gunsmith school to get projects finished. When paying $4000+ for a custom 1911. I wouldn’t want some first year smith building my pistol. Lots of preorder customers have stated the same. The way they handled this entire fiasco. I would never do business with them. Theirs a huge link on this, with lots of (ex)customers chiming in on the 1911addicts.com forum.
