Vudoo is DONE!

Vudoo…. ^ that lease just snuck up? Nothing wrong with Oklahoma, but don’t say it’s the non-renewed lease, and in the same sentence say that it’s actually Utah.

Guys, we want this stuff. I’ve never been able to get a single heavy barreled action. You don’t machine actions and if you ship what you have, then a move shouldn’t be very difficult.

Buying a barreled action in .22 LR is especially attractive as these are NOT like screwing in other barrels. You rightly picked heavy actions and every barrel should be the same, and let retailers buy all they will. If I haven’t been able to get a gun, then 80% of guys wanting these haven’t.

I hope that moving means selling more barreled actions or complete guns, but I personally don’t see how location affects sending guns to retailers. The 40-X, something like 60 years later, is still out there as the main “known quantity” and it makes no sense how these can be hunted down one at a time as they pop up in the lower 48 more easily than new guns based upon them today can be made.

Hey Folks,
Most of the barrels on Vudoo rifles are ours, so they must be doing pretty good--just saying.
Later, Mark Buettgen
Bartlein Barrels Inc.

My GenI is a Bartlien and it has been a very good barrel. I was told that unless you specify a Bartlien they will install an Ace barrel. I don't think I've seen any answer for just who Ace is but much speculation.
Also, if things are so good with Vudoo and Bartlien why did someone I know get offered 60 Bartlien Barrels a day or so ago? Could that have been a Vudoo order that didn't have a home?
If Vudoo was just moving and there is nothing wrong financially or otherwise then why couldn't they take those barrels? Why could they not just be up front and say they were moving, temporarily closed and would be back in four weeks? Personally, this is all typical of the lack of CS I have received from them over the last few months (since the last sale was announced).
Just left wondering and, if I am totally off base, I apologize.

Vudoo, since you are moving anyhow, let me summarize what Surgeon did. They were founded and produced in Prague, Oklahoma. The company sold to Strategic Armory, also owning Armalite and McMillan Firearms (doppleganger located) of Phoenix, Arizona. They were then produced and engraved with Phoenix.

But ultimately, when Strategic Armory chose a new location, it was Texas, not Oklahoma. I imagine that Texas has come to mind. Find a state where the state’s constitution explicitly protects the right to bear arms. Texas is considered a very business friendly state, but one, THE one, where the permanency of gun rights is the most entrenched and ownership of every type is the least marginalized in the United States.

From my understanding ACE pretty much died during the rice rabies years. Bartlein has been supplying their barrels since then.

Lol.

ACE definitely didnt die and was never tied to Vudoo. They just had a large standing monthly order from Vudoo that died when Mike left and they switched to mostly Bartlein. They are making great barrels still and lots of smiths using them.

Their cut rifled centerfire barrels also hammer. I have 4 or 5 in the safe and ordered 3 more recently and have 2 at my smith being cut right now..

Hey Padom , how is the 22lr Ace barrel test going ?
And on the Bartlein 22lr barrels , I have one , threaded muzzle , it is a hammer , it likes a clean chamber every 500 or so rounds , and a few/ couple , one or two patches pushed through the bore , no deep clean or it shoots like crap until you season the bore again ( about 50 rounds ) then it settles down back to hammer status

Its been going great. The ACE 1.2" straight has been an absolute hammer! It shoots as well as my Bartlein and Krieger

The real story... About a year ago we get bought out by Nomad Capitol who knows nothing about guns. They hire Jacob Herman to run the company. He's an arms dealer who knows nothing about running a production facility. He fires the original owners (Paul and Jill Parrot) who were supposed to stay on to run it. He's mostly absent, shows up a few days a month. Takes him about 9 months to ruin the company. Stopped paying vendors about 2 months ago. Comes in two weeks ago and says Vudoo is done....everyone pack your stuff and leave. A few days ago I hear he bought the company and is moving it to OK. No one is going with him. The Vudoo everyone knows is dead. All shady as heck. You're welcome to share this on forums...without my name."

That thing about Texas, …pay all your bills first.

“Who do Vudoo owe money to won’t help you make twenty two’s if money is past due when an impromptu move and an IOU translates to we’re through”.

Maybe they will be rescued by a good knowledgeable gunsmith/businessman like the guy who bought the rights to the the Turbo rifle action...
The usual MO for these capital groups is to screw vendors over, sell off inventory with out replacing and then close the doors before selling off the machines and whatever else is left over. It happened to several key firearms distributors and numerous firearms and firearms related companies.
