Possibility, but how many times have you shot that setting since finding it? not saying that is not the one you are good and done at.Vegas -
Maybe I got lucky but I found and re-tested the 200 setting in 50 rounds.
Yes, of course. I intend to attempt to "falsify" this setting.Possibility, but how many times have you shot that setting since finding it? not saying that is not the one you are good and done at.
but try and shoot other lots to see if it holds up.

Sounds good, post your findings.Yes, of course. I intend to attempt to "falsify" this setting.![]()
@garandman do you see a noticeable and repeatable improvement in precision with the tuner versus shooting the ammo with no tuner in your specific rifle?
grandman, no lot of ammo will have the rounds shooting the same speed( unless you find that holy grail of killer lot) really good lots have the smallest deviation on the fps spread between rounds.Revisiting the ammo speed and tuner setting issue… it's my understanding that variations in ammo speed will create a different harmonic.... e.g., 326 m per sec will create a different harmonic than 328 m per sec...
If that's true I would speculate that a different tuner setting would be required for a different speed ammo, but I'll test it once I find my sweet spot for this 326 m per sec ammo.

so finding a setting that will shoot the widest spread is what you want. so a setting that can shoot say 326-330 with minimum spread of half a bullet or less in POI is probably the best setting for that barrel.

You shouldn't have to re-tune if the 200 setting is the one for that rifle. That's a fair point.
When I run out of this lot I'll likely have to find another tuner setting. I only shoot 1 match per week, max. What I got (3,000 rounds) should last me 2 years, maybe 3. I might be dead by then anyway.I got some 328 Midas + to mess around with, so I'll test that and if I can get that to shoot good, my LGS has a good supply of that lot #, AND I'll grab a bunch.
I'm a recreational shooter (at most) and not shooting 500 rounds per week, so I'll cross that bridge when it comes up.
garandman, Question did you just set it at 210 or did you sneak up to that setting? mean starting at 200 shoot a group, than at 201, 202, etc. though 210 doesn't look to be what it likes, could be a setting between 200-209 however looking at that one group with the vertical dispersion I suspect the setting to be above 210Did more testing.... 200 /210 Harrell setting.... Midas + / Center- X...
garandman, Have you tried going by 1-click increments up or down from those settings? might be hard to believe but that setting you are after may only be 1-2 clicks away from on that is shooting good nowLee -
Thus far I've gone from 0 to 300 by Increments of 25. I found decent groupings around 25 and around 200. So I'm trying to dial those in with finer increments. I have been able to repeat decent groupings around 25 and around 200. I just don't think I found the perfect sweet spot yet..
That makes senseIt was a significant tail wind switching between 10 and 2 o'clock the entire session. So the vertical dispersion could have been just a badd wind read on my part.
That's the plan.garandman, Have you tried going by 1-click increments up or down from those settings? might be hard to believe but that setting you are after may only be 1-2 clicks away from on that is shooting good now
