Shout out to Vortex. So, i have a pair of 15x50 Razor Binos on a tripod in the Kitchen
so I can Check out the Critters and such in the foothills, Elk, Coyotes, Birds etc.
Well, apparently My 5 month old Granddaughter had an interest in them too!
I came home from work and the Wife said they were fine? really, the Ocular was Smashed.
the adjustable Eye piece broke off. I sent em in a little over 2 weeks ago, got a brand new
upgraded pair last nite. Outstanding.

Their warranty is great and it needs to be. I have had several items fail that had to go back.

I had a brand new pair of 8x42 Razor binos that I took on a hunt. They went from the store to my house for unpacking and a quick check to make sure they were good to go as well as focus the right eye and then to my optics bag and into the truck for the hunt.

They sat overnight in the cab of the truck, temp was mid teens in the morning.

Pulled them out put them in a Badlands bino harness and took off walking. When I pulled them out to use them the first time they could not be focused. When I got them focused my eyes would uncross as I took them down from my eyes.

No idea what happened to these binos, I’m sure just s fluke deal as they were not bumped banged or dropped.

They went back to the store and I bought a pair of Leica Tinovids in 8x42 instead.

I’m sure the warranty covered them but I didn’t want to keep them after that.

On the other side of things I have a old pair of Viper 8x42s that have been through hell and back. I’ve sent them in three times to Vortex for things that were all self inflicted damage and they’ve fixed them everytime, no questions asked as well as cleaned the binos before sending them back.

Their warranty is top notch however I don’t think the binoculars are as “tough” as some other brands.

Mine certainly didn't hold up to a 5 ft fall onto tile!

Broke two Vipers (pistol red dots). Sent them in and got two new ones within two weeks.

Also dropped a razor spotter about a foot onto a wooden staircase and the eyepiece busted right off.

Covered of course but I’m glad it didn’t fall out of my pack 3 miles deep ona hunt
