Vortex Viper

Considering a 6.5-20X50 with the BDC (MOA) reticle. These are a 30mm tube. The last Vortex thread the search engine gave me was from 2012. So, any opinions on these? Also where would you look to purchase one? I've found them for 499.99 with free shipping but I've never used a Vortex period. This will go on an open field hunting rifle in 270 Winchester plus I'm sure to plink some steel out to 600 yards max. Thanks guys.

Go with the newer Viper HD, they punch way above their weight.

I've been thrashing the piss out of the Viper HD 3-15x44 on a couple of 22's from 50 to 400 yards a bunch of times. Tracking & RTZ has been stellar.





I also have a couple of the 2-10x40 with the BDC's on my AR's, drops are perfect to 400.

I have the 24X scope on my Tikka Dasher. I’ve shot that rifle all the way to 1000 yards using that scope, including this seating test .
