Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 Glass Compare to SHV

Looking to know how the glass compares between the Vortex PST gen2 ffp 5-25×50 vs the Nightforce SHV 5-20×56 or 4-14×50 f1, thanks.

I have a gen 2 and have shot the shv some. I like the vortex better. Not just the glass but didn’t care for the turrets on the shv. IMO lot more scope for the $ with the gen 2. Have dialed on it a lot and it has been solid !

I have a Gen 2 3-15x and an SHV 4-14x56 both SFP. The Vortex EBR-2C reticle is great, but tend to fell a little cluttered, so I prefer the MOAR reticle in the SHV. Glass quality is indistinguishable to my eye between the two, but if pressed, I'd have to say the SHV. Both have their unique attributes. The Gen 2 is illuminated with tactical turrets, plus all kinds of other accessories in the box or readily available from Vortex. The SHV is a scope iwth limited support options, with capped turrets. I would mention that the Vortex is mounted on a rifle and the SHV is not, so that likely says it best in terms of practical utility.

p.s. I've glassed the SHV 4-14F1 once or twice and much prefer the F2
